Her greatest insecurity is the feeling of not belonging anywhere. too soft for the mountains, too Ridgeborn for the lowlands. she stands out no matter where she goes. now that she’s getting further and further away from home, the song of the mountains, this comfort which has accompanied her all her life, is starting to fade. the silence is not peaceful like the quiet of snow, but unsettling as a cave without an echo. part of her worries the mountains might have abandoned her for turning her back; another part fears it may be an omen of the future of her people. what if their time is running out? it has her pressing forward, sometimes impatiently if she feels they’re wasting precious time. without the spiritual guidance of the peaks, Khari is unsure who she even is.
