The two of them found themselves in direct competition, ultimately both arriving at the artefact at the same time, before having it ripped away from both of them by being revealed to be on the back of a mysterious ancient land crab that disappeared while the underwater cave tunnels beneath the grotto collaped all around then. We are both clearly thinking that we could have retrieved it if we had been alone, and that our lives would have been materially different.
